Pollution of environmental is a worldwide problem and environmental scientists shudder to think of the lurking dangers the future will open to mankind. The first and foremost question is of the survival of mankind. The increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is eating away the protective cover called ozone gradually and man is being exposed to the hazards of radiations from the sun. These radiations are fatal and are expected to extirpate the mankind from the world.
Another danger of pollution is the threat to health and ultimately to life. The polluted water is killing aquatic animals and is making the water of the rivers unfit for human consumption. Pollution of air, water and earth is caused by many factors. The first and foremost cause of the pollution of air is smoke. The smoke is given out by cars, buses and rickshaws. In Pakistan the owners and drivers are irresponsible, careless and illiterate. They ply defective automobiles which give out smoke and particles of carbon. They do not realize the dangers they are exposing the people to. Smoke is also emitted out by mills, factories and the shops of black smiths and gold smiths. In Pakistan they burn the refuses, garbage's and the leaves of trees which give out smoke. Smoke is very dangerous. It contains particles of carbon, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sculpture dioxide which are dangerous to health.
The pollution of water is caused by the factories of fertilizers, papers, and industrial units. These units pour thin wastes into rivers and seas, containing chemicals, toxic to life. This water is dangerous to the marine and aquatic life and makes the river water unfit for use as it cause fatal diseases.
